Free Wi-Fi Coming To All SamTrans Buses

Wi-Fi​ should be online on all 800-series SamTrans buses by February 2022, the transit district said Monday.

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — The San Mateo County Transit District is offering free wireless Internet service to passengers on all its buses this year.

Wi-Fi should be online on all 800-series SamTrans buses by February 2022, the transit district said Monday.

Passengers will be able to text, email, get on social media, play games, and browse the Internet; bandwidth limits do not currently support video streaming, the transit district said. Information about Wi-Fi will be posted at the front of each bus where it is available.
