Multiple lanes of northbound U.S. Highway 101 in Redwood City were blocked this morning after a big-rig spilled gravel, which caused a three car accident, California Highway Patrol spokesperson Art Montiel said.
The crash was reported shortly after 6:45 a.m. on northbound Highway 101 near Whipple Avenue.
The big rig driver reportedly continued along the highway while the gravel was spilling from the car.

A trailing Suzuki SUV tried to slow, and was then rear-ended by another vehicle. The Suzuki spun out of control and then was hit by another semi-truck.
