How Redwood City Residents Can Compost Their Christmas Trees
Recology San Mateo County will collect trees curbside until the end of January.
REDWOOD CITY, CA — Redwood City residents will be able to compost their Christmas trees beginning Jan. 3.
Recology San Mateo County will collect trees curbside until the end of January. Trees should not exceed eight feet in length, and residents are advised to remove all decorations and tree stands before placing them curbside.

After Jan. 31, residents should cut the tree to fit in the compost cart.
