Redwood City community members have a say in how the city will spend $1 million to improve, grow or support the area.

REDWOOD CITY, CA — Redwood City community members are invited to submit ideas on how the city will spend $1 million.
The city is participating for the first time in The People’s Budget, a budgetary process in which community members directly decide how the city spends parts of its public budget to support, grow or improve the Redwood City and North Fair Oaks.
Over 7,000 cities around the world have participated in a similar process. Examples of how other cities spent their money include building a community garden or playground, beautifying the neighborhood, providing laptops for students and making road improvements.
