I-280 Lanes Now Open After Fatal Crash Blocked Traffic

CHP reported the 1:52 a.m. crash in which a So. SF woman was ejected may have involved drugs or alcohol.

REDWOOD CITY, CA -- All lanes of northbound Interstate Highway 280 in unincorporated San Mateo County near Redwood City are now open after a fatal solo-vehicle crash blocked multiple lanes early this morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP reported the unidentified South San Francisco woman who died at the scene was ejected. Alcohol and drugs may have been involved.

The CHP said the crash involving a blue Toyota Corolla that overturned was first reported around 1:52 a.m. just north of Edgewood Road.
