Kids Rock Concert Series Returns To San Mateo County

Kids can enjoy dancing to live music while parents relax in Courthouse Square.

REDWOOD CITY, CA — The events known as “Kids Rock!” return for another year of dancing and fun to Redwood City starting on June 28.

Redwood City-born musician Andy Z, who has performed at the Austin City Limits festival and Strings Music Festival in Colorado, will emcee the concert series and he will also perform with his band, Andy Z and the Andyland Band.

Kids can come dance to the live music or play in the inflatable playland while adults relax in the vibrant Courthouse Square, located conveniently near local restaurants.

The event is sponsored by Redwood City’s Public Library and the Parks, Recreation and Community Services department.

Andy Z and the Andyland Band

Award-winning children's performer Andy Z engages kids and families with music, movement, and storytelling. His performances have garnered praise and appearances on Pandora and Pottery Barn Kids. The Andyland Band has played at events like Austin City Limits and Redwood City Events. Andy's music has been featured on the Today Show and has received numerous awards, including Disney's iParenting Media Award and a Parent’s Choice Foundation Award.

Lori & RJ

Former KTVU Fox Kids and WB20 Kids hosts Lori & RJ bring their high-energy, funky music to the stage. With extensive entertainment experience, the duo delivers soulful melodies and irresistible rhythms that transcend genres, promising a fun-filled, memorable experience with plenty of groovy tunes.

James Henry's House of Samba Kids

Master percussionist James Henry leads an energetic, hands-on musical adventure for kids called House of Samba Kids. This interactive workshop uses rhythm, percussion, and global beats to get kids moving, grooving, and learning. James inspires joy and confidence through music, leading a rhythmic journey around the world.
