Makerspace To Open In Downtown Redwood City Library With Celebration

REDWOOD CITY, CA — The Redwood City Library Foundation is celebrating World Creativity and Innovation Day on April 21 with a virtual event at 5 p.m. opening the Makerspace in the downtown library.

The event, hosted by former Bay Area news reporter Sonjan Shin, will include live demos from the Makerspace of 3D printing, podcasting, sewing and coding with robots.

Proceeds will support the Redwood City Public Library’s initiatives such as Makerspace in the Library, Bridging the Digital Divide, Career Online High School and Traveling Storytime.

General admission is $20. Admission with an apron with a Makerspace logo is $50.
