Man Arrested For Allegedly Asking Girls To Get Into His Car
Redwood City Police report that the incidents happened near an elementary school.

REDWOOD CITY, CA — Redwood City officers arrested a man accused of asking girls to get in his car near a school earlier this week, according to police.
Police said that around 1:40 p.m. Tuesday, they were alerted to a report of an unknown adult male contacting female juveniles and asking them to get in his car near Hoover School at 701 Charter Street.
Officers learned this occurred on multiple occasions over the last year with at least two different juveniles. Video surveillance caught a vehicle believed to belong to the suspect.

Around 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, detectives found the suspect in the area of Spring Street and Scott Avenue. The suspect was identified as 43-year-old Erick Vasquez, a Redwood City resident.
He was arrested and booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility on suspicion of lewd and lascivious acts with a minor and communicating with a minor to commit lewd act.
