Mill Valley House Fire: Heavy Smoke

Authorities made quick work of the fire, dousing it, before discovering nobody was home.

MILL VALLEY, CA — Mill Valley police and firefighters responded to a fire in an unoccupied residence Monday night.

The fire in the area of West Blithedale Avenue and King Street was reported around 9:30 p.m. Heavy smoke was coming from the residence when firefighters and police arrived, police said.

After the fire was extinguished, firefighters determined the home was unoccupied.

The cause is under investigation and no other structures were threatened, police said.
