Monitor the K-8 District’s Parcel Tax Spending
The Redwood City School District is taking applications to serve on its Measure W Citizen's Oversight Committee.

In in June, Redwood City voters were reassured that the would form a Citizen’s Oversight Committee to ensure that the money was properly spent. To fulfill that promise, the district is looking for citizens to apply to this committee by Monday, Sept. 17.
The committee will ensure that Measure W to enhance reading, writing, math, and science skills; attract and retain qualified teachers; and support school libraries. Not one dollar can be spent on administrator salaries.
The Committee will be comprised of three parents of students currently attending a Redwood City School District school, three community members who do not currently have children enrolled in the district, and three local business owners who will meet 4 times per calendar year.

Committee members will also provide a report to the Board each year that states whether all expenditures are in accordance with the Measure W ballot language and in compliance with the Board-approved intention for use by each school.
