Mountain Lion Spotted in Local Park

The mountain was seen walking along a trail in an unincorporated Woodside park Friday.

A mountain lion was seen walking in an unincorporated Woodside park Friday night, San Mateo County emergency officials said.

The big cat was seen at Huddart Park, located at 1100 Kings Mountain Road just outside Woodside, at 8:30 p.m. walking along a trail, county emergency officials said.

Officials warn if residents see a mountain lion to not approach it and avoid confrontation.
