North Peninsula Bank Robbery Under Investigation

The suspect entered the bank and pointed a black semi-automatic handgun at the bank teller demanding money, police said.

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA — A Peninsula bank was robbed at gunpoint Monday morning, and the suspect who got away with an unspecified amount of cash remains at large, South San Francisco police said.

Officers at around 9:44 a.m. responded to the 100 block of McLellan Drive on the report of an armed robbery that had just occurred at a bank, police said.

The suspect entered the bank and pointed a black semi-automatic handgun at the bank teller demanding money, police said.

He was last seen on foot eastbound on Mclellan Drive, police said.

The suspect is described as a white male adult approximately in his 50's with a white beard, black hat, and eyeglasses, police said. He was wearing a black sweater and khaki pants.

The case remains under investigation, according to police.
