Peninsula Cop Honored

SAN MATEO, CA — A Peninsula cop was honored for his dedication and tenacity.

San Mateo Police Department presented Officer Venikov with the Best Arrest award Wednesday.

Venikov earned the award for his work on a search of a narcotics dealer’s home in which officers located illegal narcotics, drug paraphernalia, firearms, and stolen property, the SMPD said on the agency’s Facebook page.

“Officer Venikov’s tenacity and dedication led to arrest of a probationer who refused to stop breaking the law,” the agency said.

“We salute your dedication and tenacity. Congratulations, Officer Venikov!”
