Peninsula Home Damaged In Blaze Over 4th: RC Fire

Redwood City Fire gave its attack on the Coronado Ave. blaze much thought. No one was hurt, but the home sustained 'significant damage.'

REDWOOD CITY, CA — Fire crews responded to a blaze Thursday night at a home in San Carlos and extinguished the flames by isolating it to one area of the house, the Redwood City Fire Department reported.

The calculated response to the 6:30 p.m. call kept the fire on Coronado Avenue to a single alarm.

The blaze did cause "significant damage," but no one was hurt, according to Redwood City Fire.
