Peninsula Sex Offender Caught With Child Porn, Police Allege

Investigators allege the man failed to maintain his offender registration and was caught with explicit images of underage victims.

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — A convicted sex offender was arrested this week after investigators allege he failed to register and was caught with child pornography.

According to the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office, Alexander Jessup, 36, of Emerald Hills was arrested Monday during a probation search. Investigators said Jessup failed to maintain his court-ordered offender registration had explicit images of minors.

He was booked into the Maguire Correction Facility on suspicion of failure to register, violating probation and possessing obscene material involving a minor. Anyone with additional information that could be relevant to the case can contact detectives at 650-363-4057.
