Photos: Multi-Car Accident on Jefferson Ave. Causes Injuries

At approximately 3:30 p.m. a two-car collision occurred on the 2100 block of Jefferson Avenue.

A female in a green Cadillac was pulling out of Quartz Street and onto Jefferson Avenue, the driver told another person on the scene. She tried to get into the far left lane, but instead of hitting the brake, she stepped on the accelerator and hit the passenger side of a blue Honda Civic.

The collision sent the female driver in the green Cadillac into a light post while the other female driver hit a tree, according to resident Ernie Schmidt.

Both were transported to the hospital, but did not seem to suffer any major injuries, Schmidt said.
