Pipe Rupture Causes Low Water Pressure in Oak Knoll Neighborhood
Crews are close to complete repair and everything will return to normal by the end of the day.

An 8-inch water pipe ruptured at 1:30 a.m. today along Glenwood Drive causing low water pressure for roughly a few hundred residents, said Public Works Superintendent Justin Ezell.
The pipe previously had a small leak and had been corroding over time, eventually causing the rupture this morning. Crews have been working all day to repair the pipe and will finish by the end of today, Ezell said.
The pipe is part of a one-mile transmission line connecting the pumping station on Glenwood Drive to the main tank on Lakeview Way.

The water pressure, which is typically 70 pounds per square inch (psi), decreased by 20 psi, a noticeable reduction in water pressure, Ezell explained.
Resident Lorraine Rumley said that some households even had no water pressure.
