Police Find 11-Year-Old Boy's Stolen Bicycle In San Mateo County

Officers said they identified a suspect on surveillance footage.

REDWOOD CITY, CA — Police said they identified the suspect who stole an 11-year-old's bicycle in Redwood City but during the search found the bike in another location, police announced Wednesday.

In September, an 11-year-old boy reported their bicycle had been stolen from outside Safeway on Woodside Road.

A Redwood City Police Department officer said they reviewed store surveillance footage and identified a suspect.

While searching the area, the officer said they found the stolen bicycle behind a nearby business.

Police said they returned the stolen bike to the child and his mother.
