Police Identify Additional Suspects in Armed Robbery of Home Near Taft School

Redwood City Police officers have been working hard to track down two of the three suspects who recently robbed a home on 10th Avenue with a gun, prompting a lockdown of nearby Taft Elementary School.

On Feb. 7, . The suspects eventually locked her a back bedroom while they robbed and ransacked the house, which gave her the opportunity she needed to call the police.

When officers arrived on the scene, they were able to capture and arrest one of the three suspects, Jovanni Martinez Aguilar, 21, of Redwood City, who is currently in custody. However, the other man and the female who was acting as the lookout outside the home during the robbery were able to get away.

The Redwood City Police Department sent out a statement Tuesday saying investigators have been able to identify the man who got away as Luis Martinez Trujillo, 21, also of Redwood City. Trujillo's photo has been released, and is included with this article, above.

Investigators said they have also been able to identify the juvenile Hispanic girl who served as the lookout, though because she is underage, they are not releasing her name and photo.

However, the department says they are hot on the two suspects' tails.

"Arrest warrants have been issued for both suspects," RCPD's statement indicated. "We believe the suspects are still together, are aware they are being sought by law enforcement, and are taking steps to avoid detection and arrest."

RCPD indicated investigators have also identified a vehicle associated with the robbery - a black Volkswagen Jetta, California license number 5TGT848.
