Public Service Career Fair Planned Next Month On The Peninsula
Dozens of public employers from across San Mateo, Santa Clara and Alameda counties will participate in this year's summer job fair.
REDWOOD CITY, CA — Peninsula jobseekers will have a the opportunity to embark on a new career in the public sector during next month's Public Service Career Fair. Hosted by San Mateo County, public employers from around the region will participate in the second annual fair on Aug. 2 in Redwood City.
Organizers are hoping to build on the success of last year's inaugural event, and representatives from departments and agencies across the region will be on-hand to talk shop. This year's participating employers include nearly two dozen from San Mateo County, with others hailing from Alameda and Santa Clara counties and cities across the region.
The Bay Area Air Quality Management District, Port of San Francisco and San Francisco International Airport will also be represented.

2024 Summer Public Service Career Fair
- Date: Friday, Aug. 2, 2024
- Time: 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

"Whether you are looking for professional growth, a fulfilling role, or a chance to contribute to the greater good, this career fair is the perfect opportunity to explore the possibilities," said Rocio Kiryczun, the county's Human Resources Director. "There are many public sector jobs to choose from — healthcare, law enforcement, social services, administration, [and] civil engineering among others."
