Redwood City Hosts Lunar New Year Celebration Saturday
Admission to the San Mateo County History Museum is also free on Saturday.
REDWOOD CITY, CA — Redwood City is hosting a Lunar New Year celebration on Saturday at Courthouse Square, featuring lion dancers, martial artists, taiko drummers and other live performances, to celebrate the Year of the Tiger.
Admission to the San Mateo County History Museum is also free on Saturday.
Festivities begin at 11 a.m. for the opening ceremony.

Performers from the Shaolin Culture Center, Orion Alternative Elementary Mandarin Immersion Program, California Kung Fu & Tai Chi, Palo Alto Buddhist Temple Dharma School and Rising Phoenix Lion Dancer Association will follow.
Closing ceremonies begin at 3:55 p.m.
