Redwood City Man Charged With Threatening Family With Weapon

Officers found a .380 caliber handgun after arresting the suspect, according to the police.

REDWOOD CITY, CA —A Redwood City man is in custody on charges of assault with a firearm and threatening family members with a firearm, according to the Redwood City Police Department.

The suspect, Nestor Lopez, was arrested on Friday night after officers responded to a call at Shorebird Circle following a complaint about a domestic disturbance involving a weapon. Officers found a .380 caliber handgun after arresting Lopez, according to the police.

Lopez is also charged with making criminal threats. He was booked into the San Mateo County Jail.
