Man In San Mateo County Stabs Brother Multiple Times: Police
The incident left the brother hospitalized in critical condition, police said.
REDWOOD CITY, CA — Redwood City Police officers arrested a man Wednesday who stabbed his brother multiple times, leaving him in critical condition, police said.
Jonathan Manuel Riveracastro, 30, of Redwood City, was arrested Wednesday night and booked into the San Mateo County Maguire Correctional Facility on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon, police said.
At 10:35 p.m. on Tuesday, Redwood City police said they responded to reports of an assault at an apartment complex located at 950 Main St.

Officers said when they arrived they found a man suffering from multiple stab wounds to his torso and a second victim with lacerations to the arm.
Police located Riveracastro and detained him at the scene without incident and discovered that the assault primarily involved two brothers, and a third family member was injured when they tried to intervene, police said.

Both victims were transported to a local hospital. The man who was stabbed remains in critical condition and the other was treated for a superficial wound, police said.
The cause of the incident is still under investigation.
