Redwood City Organization Receives Grant From Energy Provider

Peninsula Clean Energy is providing a total of $310,000 in grants to a dozen organizations throughout San Mateo County.

REDWOOD CITY, CA — Casa Circulo Cultural, a Redwood City art nonprofit, was one of a dozen San Mateo County organizations that received grants worth between $20,000 and $40,000 from Peninsula Clean Energy, the energy provider for San Mateo County.

The grants, which add up to $310,000, aim to assist in providing bill savings and other benefits of clean energy programs to low-income communities in the county.

“These organizations are absolutely vital to letting our most underserved communities know about the many benefits Peninsula Clean Energy offers,” said East Palo Alto Councilmember Carlos Romero, who serves on Peninsula Clean Energy’s board of directors. “These grants also ensure we are effectively communicating in a way that reflects our incredibly vibrant and diverse county populated with residents representing cultures from around the world.”
