Speier to Host 'Operation LIPSTICK' Forum to Fight Illegal Gun Trafficking

LIPSTICK is an acronym for Ladies Involved in Putting a Stop to Inner-City Killing.

The public is invited to join Congresswoman Jackie Speier (D-CA 14th District) at a forum on illegal gun trafficking in San Mateo on Friday Nov. 22 from 1:00-2:30 p.m. 

The forum, “Empowering Women to Stop Illegal Gun Trafficking: A New Public Health Approach,” will be held at the San Mateo City Council Chambers, 330 W. 20th Ave.

Speier and a coalition of public health, law enforcement and social service organizations are introducing “Operation LIPSTICK,” a new initiative to disrupt illegal pipelines that deliver guns to criminals. LIPSTICK stands for Ladies Involved in Putting a Stop to Inner-City Killing.
