Strong-arm Robbery Suspects Sought By SMC Sheriff's
The suspects are accused of stealing the victim's phone by asking what time it is then fleeing the area.

REDWOOD CITY, CA — Deputies need the public's help finding unidentified teenage suspects who are accused of stealing a man's cell phone, the San Mateo Sheriff's Department reported Sunday.
According to the sheriff's report, two male suspects approached the victim Sunday at 10 a.m. while he was walking on Barron Avenue at the intersection of Spring Street in Redwood City.
The suspects approached the victim and asked him if he could tell him the time. The victim took his iPhone out of the pocket to look at the time, at which point one of the suspects grabbed the iPhone out of the victim’s hand. Both fled the area running east toward Bay Road. The victim did not sustain any injuries during the robbery.

The victim’s iPhone was a gold-colored iPhone 7 with a black case, a package estimated to be worth $700 when it was new.
The first suspect was described as a dark-skinned male in his late teens or early 20s, last seen wearing a gray T-Shirt and black shoes. The second suspect was described as a light-skinned male in his late teens or early 20s, with a thin build, last seen wearing black “Adidas” type sweatpants with two white stripes down the side.
