Student Arrested With Loaded Gun At Redwood High School: Police
Police allege a 17-year-old brought a Glock to school on the same morning he was scheduled to meet with administrators about attendance.

REDWOOD CITY, CA — A high school student faces multiple felony charges after police allege he brought a loaded handgun to the Redwood High School campus Tuesday morning.
Police said school administrators called them around 8 a.m. relating information they received about a student who intended to bring a gun to school. School officials told police they had a 9 a.m. meeting scheduled with the student and his mother to discuss attendance issues and requested officers be present for security concerns.
According to police, the 17-year-old boy refused officers' request to pat him down for weapons and attempted to run out of the office. As officers attempted to subdue the student, police said he told them he was carrying a gun. Investigators said they found a loaded Glock 27 in the student's waistband, along with another loaded magazine.
