Suspects Flee Near Redwood City After Attempted Homicide: Sheriff
This is the second incident in as many weeks in North Fair Oaks. Last week, a man was shot and killed on the same block.

REDWOOD CITY, CA — The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an attempted homicide Thursday night in North Fair Oaks, an unincorporated area adjacent to Redwood City.
According to a news release, a suspect shot at a vehicle that was traveling eastbound on the 400 block of Fifth Avenue. Two suspects then fled on foot. The vehicle also drove away at a “high rate of speed,” the sheriff’s office said. The incident occurred just after 11 p.m.
The victim was unharmed and the vehicle was processed as evidence after it was hit by gunfire. The suspects, who were wearing all black clothing, have not been found, according to authorities.
