Suspects Remain At Large In 3 Bay Area Home Burglaries: Police
The sheriff's office is currently investigating three burglaries to determine if they are connected.
SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — The sheriff's office is asking the public for help in an investigation after three home burglaries were reported on Thursday and Friday in the Emerald Hills and Portola Valley, police said.
At around 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, a residential burglary happened on the 300 block of Golden Oak Avenue in Portola Valley, police said. Video surveillance recorded the suspects forcing entry into an unoccupied home.
At around 10:30 p.m. on Friday, San Mateo County Sheriff's deputies responded to an attempted burglary at a home on the 200 block of Scenic Drive in Emerald Hills. A resident, who was home during the attempted break-in, reported the suspects broke in through the back of the residence but fled before officers arrived, police said. No items were believed to be taken.

At 11:30 p.m. on Friday, sheriff's deputies said they responded to another home burglary on the 3800 block of Woodland Way in Emerald Hills. The suspects broke into the residence and stole valuables but the total lost is still being determined, police said. The suspects again fled the scene before officers arrived, police said.
