Transient Couple Arrested, Accused Of Stealing Vehicle: SMC
A routine traffic enforcement stop resulted in the discovery of a vehicle reported stolen out of San Mateo, the sheriff's dept. reported.

REDWOOD CITY, CA — A transient couple was arrested on suspicion of felony vehicle theft and conspiracy Friday morning in downtown Redwood City, the San Mateo Sheriff's Department reported.
Deputes conducted a traffic enforcement stop at Broadway and California streets at 8:04 a.m. on a 2018 Nissan Sentra with a Washington license plate that turned up as stolen out of San Mateo in a vehicle check.
Antonio and Ana Contreras, 27 and 55, respectively, were booked into the San Mateo County Main Jail.
