Two Men Sentenced In Shooting At 2018 Drug Deal In Redwood City

A pickup truck driver was shot multiple times in the face and back during a drug deal in the parking lot of a Redwood City liquor store.

REDWOOD CITY, CA — Two Stockton residents were sentenced Monday for their involvement in a shooting at a drug deal in Redwood City in 2018, federal prosecutors announced.

Khari Moore was sentenced to seven years in prison, and Malik Lott received a one-year term. Both pleaded guilty in July.

Moore admitted to shooting a pickup truck driver multiple times in the face and back during a drug deal in the parking lot of a Redwood City liquor store, according to the plea agreement. The shooting caused “extensive injuries,” according to the plea agreement. Moore and Lott fled the scene for Stockton.

Moore pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute marijuana and brandishing a firearm during a drug trafficking crime. Lott pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute.

The two men will begin serving their prison terms immediately.
