View Finder: A Snapshot of Bair Island
Patch zooms into Redwood City to capture its bustling moments in still shots.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. So how many words is a photo gallery worth? Every week ViewFinder will bring you snapshots of the liveliness and unique qualities that make Redwood City inimitable amongst other cities along the Peninsula.
This week, we feature photos of Bair Island, a 3,000-acre hidden gem that is part of the Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge. The Crew coaches from the Bair Island Aquatic Center were kind enough to take me out onto the serene waters for some panoramic views of the Bay at sunset.
If you're not one of the 250,000 visitors annually, browse through these photos then head over to Bair Island. The untouched wildlife and breathtaking scenery just might convince you to become a regular visitor.
