Arrest Made In Hit-And-Run That Injured Girl, 7: Santa Rosa PD
Police said they have surveillance video showing the driver trying to hide his black BMW after the southwest Santa Rosa collision.
SANTA ROSA, CA β Santa Rosa police on Tuesday afternoon arrested a man suspected of a hit-and-run collision Saturday that injured a 7-year-old girl. The girl suffered minor injuries when she was struck by a dark-colored sedan around 5:15 p.m. in the area of Campoy Street and Louis Krohn Drive in southwest Santa Rosa, police said.
Part of the collision was captured by a resident's security camera. Police received multiple tips from the public, including a surveillance video of the suspect, Dominick Dejoun Weaver, 29, of Santa Rosa, trying to hide the vehicle after the collision, police said.
Officers reviewed Weaver's social media posts that showed him driving the black 2004 BMW 645Ci that was involved in the collision, police said.
