City Unveils Logo For 50th Anniversary

The committee organizing the celebration for the city's 50th birthday has revealed the logo after . 

The party commemorating Rohnert Park's 50th year as a city, just a year away, will begin with a parade down Snyder Lane, ending at Sonoma State University. The parade will also serve as next year's Rancho Cotate Homecoming, and will host floats from area businesses, the school's marching band and more.

Following the parade, the free celebration will continue at the Community Center with food, music, games for kids and performances by the Poyntlyss Sistars and Wonderbread 5.

The event is being paid for by mostly fundraisers, though the city has agreed to pay for part of it. 

Don't miss the next fundraiser — a "" with dinner, dancing, '50s and '60s style, raffle prizes and more.
