Culinary Café Rose & Alex Ling Bakery Opens For Fall At SRJC
After a two-year closure, the eatery & bakery reopens to community - starring Santa Rosa Junior College culinary arts students' creations.

SANTA ROSA, CA — Santa Rosa Junior College Culinary Café Rose and the SRJC Alex Ling Bakery — eateries supporting culinary students in-training — are reopening this month to the public after a two-plus-years closure.
The sites operate as part of intensive study courses for SRJC's aspiring cooks, servers, pastry chefs and bakers.
The SRJC Alex Ling Bakery opens Aug. 25 through Dec. 16 on Thursdays and Fridays, 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., selling baking and pastry program students' artisan breads, pastries, cookies and cakes for takeout or dining on site at the B. Robert Burdo Culinary Arts Center’s patio.

"The bakery’s offerings change weekly to reflect students’ learning, giving them an opportunity to let their imagination and artistic skills shine," college officials said.
And after a two-and-a-half-year closure due to the pandemic, the school's Culinary Café Rose will reopen Sept. 22 through Dec. 16 for lunch on Thursdays and Fridays, serving seasonal menus with locally sourced meats, seafood and organic produce— all prepared and served by
SRJC students, management said.
