El Camino, Phoenix High Hosting Food Drive to Raise Money for Basketball Hoop, DVD Player
The event — a family barbecue and back to school night — starts at 5:15 p.m. at Mountain Shadows Education Center.
Phoenix and El Camino high schools, both located at the Mountain Shadows Education Center, are seeking donations for a portable basketball hoop for kids to use during lunch, and for a DVD player in one of the school's classrooms.
So, for tonight's "back to school" gathering and family barbecue, educators are asking parents or members of the community to bring recycled aluminum cans to help raise money for the hoop and DVD player. The schools are also seeking donations.
"Back to school" night starts at 5:15 p.m. at 7165 Burton Ave., Rohnert Park.
