Investigation Of High-Traffic Rohnert Park Hotel Room Leads To Arrest

Members of the COPS team arrested a woman on suspicion of drug possession with the intent to sell, the Rohnert Park DPS said.

ROHNERT PARK, CA — A woman was recently arrested as a result of an investigation by the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety's Community Orientated Problem Solving — COPS — Team of a high-traffic room at the Rodeway Inn.

During a probation search of the room, officers found fentanyl and methamphetamine packaged for sale, along with additional drug paraphernalia, the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety said.

COPS officers located and detained the suspect, Krysta Schoeneweis, who was the registered room resident and narcotics owner, police said.

Schoeneweis was booked into Sonoma County jail on suspicion of drug possession with the intent to sell.

Rohnert Park DPS described the COPS Team as a specialized unit dedicated to addressing a variety of community and safety issues, including narcotics, human trafficking, traffic complaints, and unsheltered communities in the city of Rohnert Park.
