The Sonoma Sheriff's office released video showing a long-line helicopter rescue of a mountain biker involved in a serious accident.

SONOMA COUNTY - The Sonoma Sheriff's office released on Monday video showing a long-line helicopter rescue of a mountain biker involved in a serious accident.

According to the sheriff's office, the rescue occurred in Annadel State Park on South Burma Trail, just up from Warren Richardson Trail.

On Sunday, May 7, authorities say the sheriff's helicopter helped with the rescue of the injured mountain biker, severely injured and stuck on a trail with no vehicle access.

The accident victim needed to be transported laying down, so was secured for a long-line ride, along with a Sonoma sheriff's deputy and an AMR paramedic to an ambulance waiting at the Newanga entrance, according to theΒ information provided.
