Northern California had a brief break in shower activity overnight, but we're not done yet, according to the National Weather Service.

Weather officials said to expect additional shower activity through the day. The chance for lingering showers will continue through the night.

However, some showers will produce heavy rain, according to the weather service officials, who cautioned drivers to keep their "heads up" on roads where water gathering in pits in the roadway could form ponds.

  • Crash blocking both lanes on CA-101 southbound near Dry Creek Road in Santa Rosa.

  • Controlled burn reported on 16200 block of Norton Road in Healdsburg.
  • Structure fire burning on 2800 block of Pleasant Hill Road in Sebastopol.

  • Crash prompting emergency response on Grove Street in Healdsburg.
  • Paramedics were dispatched to Laguna Drive in Rohnert Park and, in other calls, to Healdsburg Avenue in Healdsburg and to the 1280 block of Steele Canyon Road in Napa.

Conditions on the water are still hazardous, according to the weather service, which forecasts seas in excess of 10 feet over the outer waters. However, overall conditions will gradually improve late Tuesday into Wednesday.
