Early Morning Crash Downs Wires, Knocks Out Power, Shuts Down Traffic

The Santa Rosa Police Department advised drivers to avoid the area and use alternate routes.

SANTA ROSA, CA — Steele Lane between Salem and Mendocino avenues was closed in both directions because of a vehicle crash that downed electrical wires, knocked out power, and shut down traffic in Santa Rosa this morning.

The collision happened overnight Tuesday on Steele Lane between Salem and Mendocino avenues.

PG&E was on the scene trying to restore power.
