Sonoma State Nursing Program Receives 2 Recognitions

ROHNERT PARK, CA β€” Sonoma State University was recognized with two top-10 rankings for its registered nursing and graduate programs, the university announced Friday.

Sonoma State's Department of Nursing has been ranked fifth in the state out of 126 similar programs, according to Registerednursing.org.

"We have highly dedicated and hard-working students as well as faculty in this program," said Mary Ellen Wilkosz, chair of the nursing department.

The nursing program scored 98 out of 100 possible points based on the "pass rates" of students taking the NCLEX-RN exam, the test used across the country to assess nursing students.

SSU was also ranked No. 10 by Nursingdegrees.com among colleges and universities in the state that offer graduate degrees in nursing online.
