SSU Police, Community Organizations Partner For Holiday Drive
Help brighten the holidays for children in Rohnert Park and Cotati by dropping off a toy, warm clothing or food donation by Nov. 27.
ROHNERT PARK AND COTATI, CA — This holiday season, the Sonoma State University Police Department is teaming up with the Cotati Police Department, the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety, the Rancho Adobe Fire District, the Rotary Club of Rohnert Park-Cotati and several SSU-based organizations for a toy, food and warm clothing drive.
Donations are accepted through Monday, Nov. 27. See below for drop-off information.
Clothing Drive

Donations accepted include new, unused warm clothes; new, unused underwear; new, unused blankets and bed pillows for all ages; and new, unused personal hygiene kits. Items donated will be given to COTS Mary Isaak Center and Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Santa Rosa.
Toy Drive

New, unused toys are being accepted. Gift cards are recommended for ages 11 and up. Donations will be given to children in the cities of Rohnert Park and Cotati in partnership with the Rotary Club of Rohnert Park-Cotati.
Clothing and toy donations can be dropped off at the following locations: SSU Police Department Lobby at Verdot Village; first floor of the SSU Student Center; Darwin Hall Lobby at SSU; first floor of Salazar Hall at SSU; Rohnert Park DPS Office and Fire Stations (clothing only); and the Cotati Police Department.
Food Drive
Only new, non-perishable food donations are accepted and must be dropped off directly at the front desk of the Sonoma State University Police Department. Donations will be given to the SSU Lobo's Pop-Up Pantry.
Acceptable food items include grab-and-go snacks, dry cereal and oatmeal, macaroni and cheese boxes, and canned goods. Do NOT bring frozen meals, milk, yogurt or fresh produce.
Gift card donations MUST be dropped off at the SSUPD Office at Verdot Village. Gift cards should not be put in the drop-off bins; please bring them to the front desk in the lobby, which is open 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday.
