• MEETING NOTES: Golden mussels are here, 'deal with it'; Rosedale and Bakersfield settle up on water (sjvwater.org) — Rosedale-Rio Bravo Water Storage District just received 20,000 acre-feet of water from the City of Bakersfield under a settlement, at less than half the cost originally budgeted, and extended the agreement through 2027. At the same time, nearby Arvin-Edison is battling invasive golden mussels that clog water infrastructure, a growing regional issue that could influence how local districts manage and protect shared water systems.
