Mother, Daughter Team Arrested on Suspicion of Identity Theft

A Sacramento mother and daughter were arrested Tuesday on suspicion of making fraudulent credit card transactions and other crimes at Cache Creek Casino. 

Police say Regina Reshell Payne, 44, of Rancho Cordova, and her daughter Keitisha Lashell Tucker, 26, of Sacramento, who is also a teller at Cache Creek Casino, teamed up to make fraudulent credit card transactions at the casino.   

"Between early May 2013, and September 24, 2013, Payne completed nine fraudulent credit card transactions totaling over $34,000 at Cache Creek Casino Resort, with the assistance of Tucker (a casino cashier)," a Yolo County Sheiff's press release stated. "Payne utilized multiple fictitious credit cards and a fictitious Illinois driver’s license to complete the transactions." 

Payne and Tucker were arrested on suspicion of burglary, grand theft, unauthorized use of a credit card, and Conspiracy.

Sheriff’s Detectives took both into custody Tuesday evening, and are currently being held at the Yolo County Jail. Payne is being held on $215,000 bail, and Tucker’s bail is set at $100,000. Both are expected to be arraigned today.
