2 Teens Shot Leaving Placer County Fairgrounds Party
Placer County Sheriff detectives believe the drive-by shooting at a quinceañera party in Roseville was gang related.

Two teens were shot in the arm as they were leaving a quinceañera party at the Placer County Fairgrounds in Roseville just after midnight Saturday, Aug. 11. Placer County Sheriff detectives believe the drive-by shooting was gang related, Dena Erwin, spokesperson with the Placer County Sheriff’s Department said.
A 17-year-old male and a 19-year-old female were both shot in the arm in the fairgrounds parking lot. Erwin said the two were leaving the party when a male suspect drove by and fired a handgun.

Both victims were transported to Sutter Roseville Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, Erwin said.
Approximately 200-300 people attended the quinceañera party at the Roseville fairgrounds.

Erwin said no suspect information was available at this time, but detectives are continuing to investigate the shooting.
