Construction Continues for Downtown Roseville Town Square

The Civic Center parking lot permanently closes today, Aug. 2, for construction.

The City of Roseville is moving forward with the construction of the Town Square. Today, Aug. 2, the City will permanently close the Civic Center parking lot, which will eventually transform into a large chunk of the Town Square. Parking on Grant Streets, between Vernon and Oak streets, will also be eliminated during construction, according to the City.

In early May, a of the Town Square. Shortly after, the to bring people to Downtown Roseville and officially kick-off Town Square construction.

During construction and the Civic Center parking lot’s demolition, there are more than 550 parking spaces available in the garage located at 405 Vernon St., a block west of the Civic Center.

The first part of construction of the parking lot includes fencing off the area, followed by demolition, Kevin Payne, assistant director of the city’s Planning and Redevelopment Department said during a Downtown Roseville update at the Aug. 1 Roseville City Council meeting.
