Large Appliances Taken from Vacant Apartments

Detectives have been investigating the recent theft of large appliances from vacant apartments at 751 Central Park Drive. The suspect advertised the appliances for sale on Craigslist and met the buyers at the apartment complex to sell the stolen items.   On the afternoon of Nov. 4, detectives arrested a 29-year-old local man in connection with the burglaries.  His charges include burglary, parole violation, and possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia.

On Nov. 8, it was reported that a church in the 1500 block of Eureka Road was burglarized.  A bounce house and equipment was taken, according to Roseville Police.

Catalytic Converter Thefts:

Sometime overnight on Nov. 3, someone stole a catalytic converter from a Toyota 4-Runner parked on the street in the 1800 block of Edgemont Way.

Between 11 a.m. and noon on Nov. 8, someone stole a catalytic converter from a vehicle parked at Woodcreek Oaks Golf Course.

Commercial Burglaries Roundup:

Sometime between 5:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Nov. 5, someone kicked open the door of a building in the rear of the Merryhill Country Schools campus in the 1600 block of Sierra Gardens. Nothing was taken-the suspect was possibly scared off by the audible burglary alarm.

Sometime between 6 p.m. on Nov. 6 and 7 a.m. on November 7, someone entered a wireless phone store in the 1900 block of Douglas Blvd. and took cash and merchandise. There was no sign of forced entry.

At about 5:20 a.m. on Nov. 6, someone smashed the window of a restaurant at 500 Cirby Way and took cash.

Sometime during the night Nov. 7 or early morning November 8, someone pried a back door and entered a business in the 200 block of Harding Blvd., taking cash and small items.

Sometime between 7 p.m. Nov. 7 and 7 a.m. Nov. 8, someone smashed the front door of a dry cleaning business in the 4000 block of Foothills Boulevard and took cash. Another cleaners on Woodcreek Oaks Boulevard was burglarized the same night (see below).

At about 4:30 a.m. on Nov. 8, someone smashed the front door of a dry cleaning business in the 4000 block of Woodcreek Oaks Blvd. and took cash.

Residential Burglaries Roundup:

Sunday, Oct. 16

Sometime during the afternoon of Oct. 16, someone kicked the door of an apartment at 701 Gibson Drive and took a plasma TV, laptop computer, a camera, a purse and clothing.

Friday, Oct. 28

Sometime between Oct. 28 and 30, someone entered a ground-floor apartment in the 8800 block of Sierra College Boulevard through a bedroom window that had been left slightly open, and took a flat-screen TV, a video game player and video games.

Wednesday, Nov. 2

Sometime between 3:20 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Nov. 2, someone entered an open garage on Tuscan River Court, went into the resident's unlocked vehicle and took a purse and all its contents, including the resident's bank cards. The burglar also stole designer sunglass samples from the garage.  The victim's bank cards were soon used to make fraudulent purchases.

Sometime between 1 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. on Nov. 2, someone forced entry through a sliding glass door and burglarized a home in the 1800 block of Santa Ines Street.  A laptop computer, jewelry and small electronic items were taken.

Neighbors reported that two women had been going door to door during the afternoon, selling carpet-cleaning services.  One was described as a short, about 4 feet 8 inches to 5 feet tall) black female in her 20s, and another as a black female in her 20s, no further description. One was wearing a pink or peach colored shirt, and the other a green shirt. It's unknown at this time whether the solicitors had anything to do with the burglary.

Thursday, Nov. 3

Sometime during the day on Nov. 3, someone pried a bathroom window and burglarized a home in the 3100 block of Halverson Way.  A computer, cash and a rifle were taken.

Sometime between 6:45 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Nov. 3, someone entered a home in the 1500 block of Sheridan Avenue and took an air compressor, a camera and other small items. There was no sign of forced entry.

Friday. Nov. 4

Sometime between Nov. 4-6, someone pried a sliding door and burglarized a home in the 200 block of Elvenden Court. Jewelry was taken.
