Denise Wilder Charged in Death of Her 2-Year-Old
The Roseville mom is officially charged with child abuse in connection with the death of her daughter McKinley Wilder.

The Placer County District Attorney has filed charges against 37-year-old Denise Marie McGrath Wilder of Roseville in the death of her 2-year-old daughter, McKinley Wilder.
The DA's Office announced today that Wilder is charged with cruelty to a child by abuse, neglect or endangering health, under circumstances likely to produce great bodily harm or death.
by Roseville Police. The arrest came after autopsy results released recently determined that McKinley Wilder died due to acute alcohol toxicity and acute malnutrition.

McKinley Wilder was found dead at the Diamond Oaks Road home in Roseville when police arrived around 5 p.m. April 4. A family friend went to the home and called police after finding the child wasn’t breathing, according to earlier reports.
Denise Wilder was arrested on suspicion of murder in April, , pending autopsy results and the cause of death.

Denise Wilder is also charged with child abuse or endangerment under circumstances likely to produce great bodily harm or death in connection with the abuse and neglect of her other 5-year-old daughter, who was also on the scene when McKinley Wilder was found dead.
Denise Wilder is now being held without bail in the Placer County Jail.
Aspects of the case are still being investigated, but the DA's Office found adequate information from the autopsy report and forensic testing to move forward with charges, according to a news release.
Denise Wilder's next court date will be Tuesday, June 19 at 1:30 p.m. in Department 13 of the Placer County Superior Court.
