How to Celebrate Veterans Day in Roseville
There are two ceremonies in Roseville this year and a free pancake breakfast this Veterans Day.

Nov. 11 is a day to celebrate our nation’s veterans. In honor, remembrance and thanks to our veterans, on Veterans Day, many fly their American flags outside and attend a local ceremony.
In Roseville, there are a few ways to celebrate those who have served.
Pancake Breakfast

Senator Ted Gaines, R-Roseville, hosts the third annual Salute to Veterans Pancake Breakfast to honor active and retired service men and women. Gaines and his staff will serve this free breakfast to veterans and their families. During last year’s breakfast Gaines and his staff cooked almost 1,000 pancakes.

American Legion Post 169 Ceremony

American Legion Post 169 presents a ceremony with keynote speaker Col. Rene Horton. The ceremony also includes performances by the Roseville High School band. A complete program for the ceremony is available here.

Afternoon Ceremony
This afternoon Veterans Day ceremony will be held at the WWII monument in front of the Sure West building. Anyone is welcome to attend and pay tribute to all who have served or are currently serving in the Armed Forces.

If you happen to be in the Rocklin area, William Jessup University will also hold a flag ceremony on campus.
WJU Flag Ceremony
William Jessup University’s Public Policy department host their third annual Veterans Day flag ceremony at the school’s flag pole in the front parking lot. The flag-raising ceremony will be conducted by 2011 alumni, Jeremy Glenn and current student, Kobee Bonner, both representing the U.S. Marines, at 8:15 a.m. Following the flag raising, student veterans on active duty will be recognized.
