The above map shows where residential burglaries, or attempted burglaries, have been reported in Roseville since Jan. 1. Hover over the markers and click on the location on the map to read more about each incident.

Tuesday, Jan. 3

Between 6 p.m. Jan. 3 and 3 p.m. Jan. 4, someone broke into a house on Verbena Court, possibly through a back door, and took guitars and a saxophone.  Other property from the house was stacked up in the back yard along the fence, as if the burglar had gotten scared off and left the property behind. There are no suspects at this time.

Thursday, Jan. 5

Between 10 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. on Jan. 5, someone pried open a door and burglarized a house in the 700 block of Darling Way, taking laptop computers and jewelry.

Saturday, Jan. 7

Sometime over the past weekend (Jan. 7/8), someone broke into an apartment at 1148 Conroy Lane, taking a wallet, cigarettes and other small items.

Monday, Jan. 9

Between Jan. 9 and 10, someone pried window screens from windows of a home in the 1400 block of Lockhart Way. It doesn't appear that anyone entered the home.

Tuesday, Jan. 10

Overnight on Jan. 10/11, someone forced the side door of a garage in the 600 block of Springfield Circle. Fortunately they didn't go into the house and nothing was taken.

Saturday, Jan. 14

At 12:20 a.m. on Jan. 14, someone kicked in a front door of a home on Cloverdale Court, while residents were home. Fortunately the unknown suspects didn't go into the house and nothing was taken.

Monday, Jan. 16

During the day on Jan. 16, someone kicked the front door and burglarized a home in the 1600 block of Vernon Street.

Between 7:15 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Jan. 16, someone kicked the front door of a home in the 1600 block of Vernon Street and took a laptop and an e-reader.  A man was seen loitering near the victim's house in the morning, described as a white male adult, about 20 years old, clean-shaven, riding a mountain bike.

Overnight Jan. 16/17, someone kicked the door of a house in the 900 block of Trehowell in a possible burglary attempt. No one got in and nothing was taken.

Between 11:30 a.m. on Jan. 16 and 2 p.m. on Jan. 19, while the resident was away, someone tried to pry an apartment door in the 1900 block of Quail Ridge West. Fortunately no entry was made.

Saturday, Jan. 21 

Between 11 a.m. on January 21 and 7 p.m. on January 22, someone kicked the back door of a home in the 200 block of Folsom Road while the owner was away, and took electronic items.

Between 9:45 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. on Jan. 21, someone smashed a window in the back of a house in the 1100 block of Dartmouth Avenue and rummaged through the house, taking a jewelry box and other small items. A suspicious person was reported on the same block at about 10 a.m., knocking on doors and asking to buy gasoline.  The suspicious person was described as a tall (over 6'0") white male with dark hair and sideburns.  He was driving a white or silver older sedan.

Monday, Jan. 23

At about 1:48 a.m. on Jan. 23, someone kicked the front door of a house in the 1300 block of Ridgecrest Way.  The would-be burglar didn't go into the house, possibly scared off by the alarm sounding. No suspects were seen.

A home in the 500 block of Atkinson Street was burglarized during the afternoon of Jan. 23.

Wednesday, Jan. 25

Between noon and 1:15 p.m. on Jan. 25, a home in the 500 block of Manhattan Drive was burglarized.  The suspect entered through a rear sliding door and took jewelry and coins.  Around the time of the burglary, a witness saw a man go to the front door of the victim's house and knock, then go through the side gate into the back yard. He was described as a white male, 30 to 40 years old, wearing a black button-up long-sleeved shirt and dark pants.  He drove away in a tan 1970s Dodge or similar-type pickup with big tires.  A second person may have been waiting outside in the pickup.
